Burials can take place at your local burial ground, within your parish or another locality.

Burials continue to be a popular option for many families and there are many burial grounds and locations throughout Cornwall. The closest burial ground to us in St Ives is Longstone Cemetery, Carbis Bay, whereas there are many parishes in Hayle. You may even prefer the Penwith Woodland Burial ground in Drift, Penzance.

Unfortunately Barnoon Cemetery is not open for further burial plots.

You may wish to have a funeral service prior to the burial at a location of your choice or you may prefer a graveside service. Either option is a personal one and we can accommodate your preferred choice, even if you would like particular music at the graveside.

Often people make the decision to reserve their plot, which is common practice in most cemeteries. We can advise you on availability and complete the relevant paperwork should this be required. Obviously the choice of burial location is an important one and we can accompany you to a cemetery to decide the final choice of resting place.

There is always the concern relating to burial plot maintenance, which is often included in the costs of the burial plot. However, this would exclude the maintenance of the grave stone. Saints Funeral Services offer a grave maintenance service but can also assist with the memorial of your choice through their in house masons, just ask for further details
